Anchorage on the south-east side of Gardiners Island, set on the east side of Gardiners Bay between the forks of eastern Long Island, New York.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
The cove gives shelter from north-west through north-east and from the south-east, but lies open to a south and south-west fetch across the bay. The bottom is mud with good holding. Gardiners Island is private, so anchoring is the only option here and going ashore is not permitted.
Practical
No facilities at the anchorage. The nearest help is Waterfront Marina 2.2 nautical miles south and Ship Ashore Marina 2.6 nautical miles south-west, both across in the Three Mile Harbor and Sag Harbor area.
