Ashore
Sentier des douaniers GR34 runs along the headland, round trip of 4 km to the Pointe du Corbeau. Beach of Les Sables Blancs 300 metres west of the harbour. Church of Saint-Jacques on the point dates from the 15th century, former stop on the Compostela pilgrimage route by sea.
History
Locquirec was a cabotage harbour from the 16th century and exported wheat and linen cloth to England and the Low Countries. The Grand Hotel des Bains above the harbour, opened in 1900, served as set for the film L'Hotel de la Plage in 1978.
