Guide

Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south, staying clear of the drying heads and the cardinal marks indicating the reef. Anchor on the sandy patches in 3 to 6 m between the rocks, inside the shoal. The plateau is partly protected from NW to SW by the rocks themselves. Exposed to easterly winds. Swimmers and small craft in summer, proceed at reduced speed.

Practical

No services on the anchorage. Nearest supplies at Port de Sainte-Maxime, 1.5 NM SW, or San Peïre Les Issambres, 1.4 NM NE.

Ashore

Pointe des Sardinaux peninsula with a coastal footpath linking Sainte-Maxime to La Nartelle beach, 500 m by dinghy. Sainte-Maxime town centre and market at 2 km with ferries to Saint-Tropez across the gulf.
