Approach and anchoring
Enter from the Pertuis de Maumusson via the marked Seudre channel. Strong tidal streams on the ebb and flood. Narrow buoyed chenal between oyster beds, keep strictly inside the marks. Best approached on a rising tide.
Practical
Water available at the village quay. No fuel on site. Village shops and a bakery within 300 m of the pontoon. Closest full services at Marennes and La Tremblade.
Ashore
Oyster cabanes lining the Chenal de la Course, many converted into tasting shacks serving Marennes-Oléron oysters. Village church dating from the 15th century at 250 m. Mornac-sur-Seudre, labelled Plus Beau Village de France, is 1.8 nm west by dinghy or road.
