Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the main gulf channel north of the Île aux Moines. Strong tidal streams run through the gulf, reaching 5 to 6 knots on springs at the Port-Navalo narrows, so time the passage around slack water. Sandy holding. Open to winds from the north and north-east sector.
Practical
Forain anchorage without on-site services. Arradon harbour lies 0.6 nm east for water and dinghy landing. Port-Blanc is 1 nm south towards the Île aux Moines ferry pier.
Ashore
The village of Arradon is a 15-minute walk from the quay, with bakery, food shops and restaurants along rue du Père Coudrin. Coastal path GR 34 skirts the shore, reaching Pointe d'Arradon in under 1 km with open views over the gulf islands.
