Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north, leaving the Raz de Bannes and its rocks well to the west. The entrance dries at low water springs, so plan arrival two hours either side of high water. Strong tidal streams run along this stretch of coast, with the flood setting east and the ebb setting west at up to 4 knots on springs.
Practical
Drying harbour with a few moorings for small craft. No fuel, no chandlery on site. Water tap on the quay. Bakery and small grocery in Fermanville village, about 1 km from the harbour.
Ashore
Coastal path GR 223, the sentier des douaniers, runs along the cliffs past the harbour. Cap Lévi lighthouse stands 1.5 km to the west, square granite tower rebuilt in 1947 after wartime destruction. Anse du Brick sandy beach lies 2 km west by the coastal path.
