Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south through the buoyed channel between Île du Grand Rouveau and Île des Embiez. Shallow water with sand banks, watch your depth on approach. Drop anchor on sand in 2 to 4 metres clear of posidonia patches.
Practical
Sand bottom, shelter from NE and E, also some from SW, S and SE. Le Brusc harbour 0.3 NM S and Port Saint-Pierre des Embiez 0.9 NM W are immediate refuges. Posidonia anchoring restrictions apply under the 2019 prefect order for the Var coast.
Ashore
Le Brusc village has shops, restaurants and a market. The Observatoire marin de la Réserve des Embiez run by the Institut océanographique Paul Ricard is on the main island, reachable by the shuttle from Le Brusc. Sentier du littoral runs along the Cap Sicié south of the village.
