Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north through the Petite Passe between the coast and the Île du Grand Gaou. The bottom is mainly posidonia, with thin sand pockets. Sheltered from SE to W, exposed to the north and the mistral funnel. Zone de Mouillage et d'Équipement Léger rules apply in part of the area, with seasonal buoys to preserve the seagrass.
Practical
Water point reported on shore. The port of Saint-Pierre des Embiez lies 0.1 NM to the southwest for diesel, water and berths. Le Brusc at 0.8 NM to the east provides a larger harbour with full provisions.
Ashore
The Paul Ricard Oceanographic Institute on the Île des Embiez runs a public aquarium and a Mediterranean science museum. The salt marshes behind the beach form part of the Natura 2000 site of the Lagune du Brusc. The Sentier du Littoral follows the coast between Le Brusc and the Cap Sicié to the east.
