Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Pertuis Breton, keeping clear of the Pont de l'Île de Ré to the south. Mud bottom gives reliable holding. Shelter from W, SW and S winds; fully exposed to the N and NE sectors where the fetch across the Pertuis Breton builds a short sea.
Practical
Buoys only, no shore landing from the mooring itself. Port de Rivedoux-Plage lies 0.7 NM south for water, fuel and provisions. La Flotte-en-Ré marina is 1.9 NM north-west for a drying harbour visit at high water.
Ashore
Rivedoux-Plage village centre 1 km from the dinghy landing, with bakery, small supermarket and seafront cafes. Cycle path of the Île de Ré network runs along the coast and leads to Sainte-Marie-de-Ré at around 5 km. Pont de l'Île de Ré viewpoint 1.5 km south.
