Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north on the Pertuis Breton side, keeping clear of the oyster beds east of the anse. Sand bottom, depths of 2 to 3 metres at low water, boats over 1,8 m draught should arrive on a rising tide. Shelter from NW and N, open to the east and to fresh southerlies that come over the island.
Practical
Six mooring spots, first come first served. No water or fuel on site. Port de Rivedoux-Plage is 0,9 nm NW with a fuel berth and visitor pontoons. La Flotte marina at 3,4 nm NW offers a full-service harbour.
Ashore
Rivedoux-Plage village at 1,5 km on foot along the coastal path, bakery, grocery and beach. Pont de l'Île de Ré, the 2 926-metre road bridge opened in 1988, spans the strait 2 km east and is visible from the anchorage. Cycle route EV1 Vélodyssée crosses Rivedoux and links to the whole island network.
