Approach and anchoring
Approach with care of the strong tidal streams that run through the gulf, up to 6 knots at springs on the main channels. Protection from NW, W, SW and S; the buoy is exposed to N and NE where the chop builds across the gulf. Keep clear of oyster beds marked by withies on the surrounding flats.
Practical
Buoy only, no services alongside. Séné Badel pontoon is 2.7 NM NW for water; Chantier Caudard at Le Logeo 3.3 NM NW for haul-out and repairs.
Ashore
The Golfe du Morbihan is classified as a Parc naturel régional since 2014, with a rich bird population on the mudflats at low water.
