Approach and anchoring
Enter from the sea at Bénodet between the Pyramide mark and Men Audierne. The river is buoyed up to Quimper and carries tidal current up to 2 knots on the ebb at springs. Rock and mud bottom, most visitors take a buoy rather than anchor.
Practical
Mooring buoys managed by the Syndicat mixte de l'Odet along the river above Bénodet. Water taxi service operates in summer between the river moorings and the Bénodet pontoons.
Ashore
Pors Keraign slipway and hamlet sit 1.9 nm to the SW. Port du Corniguel and Quimper old town with the Saint-Corentin cathedral lie 2.4 nm upriver to the north, reachable by dinghy at higher water.
