Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north along the Sicié coast. Fonds de roche, depths drop quickly to 25 metres close to the islets. Tenable only in settled north-east or south-east breezes, vacate in a rising mistral or in any southerly swell.
Practical
No services. Saint-Elme 2.1 NM north-east is the nearest harbour with visitor berths, Le Lazaret 2.4 NM north-east inside the Rade des Vignettes offers fuel at Saint-Mandrier.
Ashore
The islets are a known dive site for their vertical rock faces dropping to 40 metres. Dive centres operate out of La Seyne and Saint-Mandrier. GR 51 clifftop path accessible from the Fabrégas beach 1 NM north.
Story
The two rocks gave their name to the Janas forest viewpoint above them, a 300 metre ridge walk overlooking the Toulon bay.
