Approach and anchoring

Reached from the Atlantic through the Merrimack River entrance, which has a shifting bar and strong tidal current. The river runs past the marina at 54 Merrimac Street in the heart of town.

Around 65 deep-water slips taking boats up to 100 feet, part of the Newburyport Marinas group. Gated dock access, dock attendants with ice delivery, WiFi, pump-out, restrooms, showers and laundry. Downtown shops and restaurants are a short walk from the pontoons.
