Marina on the north bank of the Merrimack River at Salisbury, Massachusetts, just west of the Route 1 Newburyport bridge.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
On the tidal Merrimack, reached upriver from the harbour entrance and passing under the Route 1 road bridge. The river runs strongly on the ebb, so time the approach with the tide.
Practical
Around 142 berths and 14 moorings on lit non-skid pontoons, with 30 and 50 amp shore power and water at every berth. Heads, showers, laundry, ice and dock carts. Repairs, winterising and storage on site with a travel lift.
Ashore
Downtown Newburyport is a short walk across the river, with shops and restaurants. Salisbury Beach on the Atlantic coast is a few kilometres east. A grassed play area and picnic tables on site for crews with children.
