Approach and anchoring
The marina sits on a canal off Freeport's bay system. Boats follow the marked State Channel south to Jones Inlet, which gives access to the open Atlantic. Open to all boaters, not only Town of Hempstead residents.
Practical
256 summer berths for boats up to 60 feet, with transient berths subject to availability. There is a fishing pier, parking, restrooms and barbecues. The marina runs seasonally from 1 April to 30 November. Office hours Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:00, on 516-518-8146.
