The largest boatyard in Massachusetts, at 32 Water Street in Fairhaven, inside the working harbour of New Bedford on Buzzards Bay.

Approach and anchoring
Reached through the New Bedford hurricane barrier into the Acushnet River. The shipyard is on the Fairhaven bank, about 0.6 nautical miles south of the Acushnet River Safe Boating Club.
Practical
146 seasonal berths and 340 feet of transient space on concrete floating pontoons, taking vessels up to 200 feet long and 18 feet of draught. Full yard services: travel-lifts, machine shop, paint shop, multi-brand engine shop, electrical and welding departments, winter storage and joinery.
History
The yard runs back to the 19th century. In 2008 Fairhaven Shipyard and Marina bought D.N. Kelley and Son, a yard kept by five generations of the Kelley family over 144 years, joining the two into Fairhaven Shipyard Companies.
