Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached by river from the Arzal lock, which operates on fixed daily openings. Mud bottom with good holding. Sheltered from NW through N to W and from SW. No tidal current above the dam since the river is held at constant level.
Practical
No facilities at the mooring. Multi Nautique marina and Foleux harbour are both 1.6 NM to the NE with pontoons, water, electricity, fuel and a boatyard.
Ashore
Towpath along the north bank toward Foleux village, where a small quay and a restaurant sit beside the old ferry crossing. The Marzan church and village centre are about 2 km inland from the river.
