Guide
Approach and anchoring
Sand and mud seabed, good holding. Shelter from NW through N to W, useful against the mistral which funnels down the Rhône valley. Open to the south and southeast swell. Watch for commercial traffic heading to Fos-sur-Mer container terminals and respect the port approach channels.
Practical
No shoreside facilities from the anchorage itself. Port Olga lies 0.7 nm west and Carteau 0.8 nm west, both offering fuel and basic provisioning. Camargue Regional Natural Park sits inshore; the Rhône mouth and its brackish lagoons host flamingos and migrating waders.
