Boatyard and service pontoon on the south shore of the Golfe du Morbihan, at Le Lindin near Sarzeau, in the commune of Sarzeau on the Rhuys peninsula.

Approach and anchoring

Approach from the main gulf channel north of Ile aux Moeurs, then head south into the cove of Le Logeo. Tidal streams in the gulf reach 8 knots at spring tides in the Coureau de Port Navalo, so plan arrival near slack water. Shallow approach, drying banks east and west, follow the marked channel at half tide or above.

Practical

Primarily a boatyard for haul out, antifouling, engine and rigging work, winter storage ashore. Travel lift on site. Limited visitor berths at the pontoon, contact the yard before arrival. Le Logeo harbour at 0.8 NM NW has visitor moorings and a small shop.

Ashore

Village of Le Logeo at 1 km with bar and oyster tasting. Chateau de Suscinio, 14th century ducal residence of the dukes of Brittany, at 4 km by road. Sentier du littoral GR 34 passes along the shore with the full loop of the Rhuys peninsula marked.

History

The Rhuys peninsula has been an oyster farming area since the 19th century. The Golfe du Morbihan holds a concentration of Neolithic sites, including the cairn of Gavrinis on an islet 6 NM north, built around 4000 BC.
