Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach through the inner channels of the gulf, taking account of strong ebb and flood streams between Arz and Île-aux-Moines. Mud bottom with eelgrass beds, holding fair in mud, poor on grass, set the anchor firmly. Sheltered from N through E by the island.
Practical
Anchor clear of the eelgrass beds, which are protected under the Natura 2000 scheme for the Gulf of Morbihan. Béluré slipway 1.9 miles NE, Île d'Arz village harbour 0.9 mile NE for supplies.
Ashore
Île d'Arz reached by tender, village 1.5 km on foot. Waymarked island loop path of 17 km circles the shoreline. Berno tide mill to the south-east, a 17th-century survivor.
