Approach and anchoring
Strong tidal streams in the Golfe du Morbihan up to 4 knots at springs, with reverse at slack water around high and low water. Approach at slack if possible. Beware of drying rocks and oyster beds marked on SHOM chart 7034. Holding on mud and weed is variable, check the set of the anchor.
Practical
No infrastructure. Small harbour of Béluré on Île d'Arz 1.5 NM north, with a ferry to Vannes. Chantier naval du Lindin 1.6 NM southwest for repairs and lifting. Village of Arz offers a grocer, bakery and two restaurants.
Ashore
Coastal path around Île d'Arz, 17 km loop along a protected Natura 2000 shoreline. Tidal mill of Berno on the southwest shore, built in the 17th century and restored, 2 km from the anchorage. Bird observation on the mudflats at low water.
