Guide
Approach and anchoring
On St Michaels Harbour at the mouth of the Miles River. The marina has 55 berths and takes vessels up to 200 feet LOA with a maximum draught of 10 feet.
Practical
A CBMM membership at Mariner level or above is required to berth here. Shore power at every berth, pump-out by ShoreRivers, climate-controlled showers, Wi-Fi, picnic tables, and bicycles. Overnight reservations run through Dockwa.
Ashore
The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum stands on the marina grounds, with the 1879 Hooper Strait Lighthouse and a working shipyard. The restaurants and shops of St Michaels are a short walk away.
History
The museum was founded in 1965 and preserves the largest collection of Chesapeake Bay watercraft in the world.
