Approach and anchoring
Approach from the S. Shelter from winds in the N, NE and E sector. Fully exposed to the mistral from the W and NW and to the SW swell. Port des Goudes is 3.1 NM NW and Port de Morgiou 3.5 NM NE as the closest refuges. Anchoring on a rocky bottom gives uneven holding, so sound carefully and watch the chain on the rocks.
Practical
Forain anchorage with no services. No access by land other than a steep footpath from the Col de Sormiou plateau. Provisioning at the Goudes or in Marseille after returning to the marina. The anchorage lies within the maritime heart of the Calanques National Park created in 2012, so regulated zones and mooring rules apply; check the park's official map before dropping the hook.
