Small rocky calanque on the south coast of Marseille, between La Madrague de Montredon and Les Goudes, at the gateway to the Parc national des Calanques.

Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south along the coast from Les Goudes. Bottom is rock with sand patches, holding variable. Sheltered from E and SE, open to the mistral from NW and to southwesterly swell. The mooring sits inside the Parc national des Calanques, so anchoring on posidonia is prohibited and rules on waste and noise apply.

Practical

No facilities on site. Nearest shelter is Port de la Madrague at 0.3 NM NE, Port des Goudes at 0.8 NM S.

Ashore

Saména pocket beach at the head of the calanque. The GR 98-51 coastal path links Les Goudes village at 0.8 NM S with La Madrague de Montredon at 0.3 NM NE. Marseille bus 20 terminates at Callelongue, 1.5 km south, for the city centre.
