Approach and anchoring
Approach from the SW along the coast between Cap Croisette and Les Goudes. Rocky bottom with patches of weed, holding variable. Drop anchor clear of swim zones in season. Open to NE through E to SE, untenable in mistral swell wrapping round the cape.
Practical
Forain anchoring only, no mooring buoys. Port des Goudes lies 0.5 NM S and Port de la Madrague 0.6 NM NE for shelter. No services on the calanque itself.
Ashore
Village des Goudes at 0.5 NM with two fish restaurants on the quay. Coastal path GR 98 climbs to Callelongue at 1.2 km, the gateway to the Calanques National Park created in 2012.
History
The Calanques coast between Marseille and Cassis was declared France's tenth national park in April 2012, covering 520 km² including marine area.
