Approach and anchoring
Open entrance to the west between two breakwaters marked by red and green lights. Max draught 5 m. Mistral from NW hits the entrance beam-on and raises a steep swell in the approach. VHF 9.
Practical
1200 berths operated by the city of Marseille, fuel berth with diesel and petrol, water and electricity on pontoons. Chandlery and sailmaker on site. Bus line 19 to the Old Port in 25 minutes. Large supermarket at 600 m.
Ashore
Pointe Rouge public beach immediately north of the marina. Calanques National Park starts 2 km south at Callelongue, trailhead for the GR 98-51 coastal path. Fish restaurants along Avenue d'Odessa and the beach promenade.
