Approach and anchoring

Anchoring is prohibited on this sector to protect the Posidonia seagrass meadows. Use the reserve mooring buoys provided, or move to authorised sectors. The Lavezzi archipelago sits in the Bouches de Bonifacio, a busy strait with strong east-west currents and sudden shifts of wind. Sant'Amanza lies 3.8 NM to the NW, Bonifacio 4.9 NM to the NW as refuges.

Practical

No services on the islands. Day visits only; the archipelago is uninhabited and part of the Réserve naturelle des Bouches de Bonifacio managed by the Office de l'Environnement de la Corse.
