Approach and anchoring
The mooring field forms a broad semicircle east of the club dock, in good depth with holding reported as reliable. Hail the launch on VHF channel 68 for a mooring assignment on arrival.
Practical
Visitors get free launch service to the docks, grounds, clubhouse and downtown Bristol. Heads and showers open round the clock, a playground, gas barbecue and picnic areas. The town harbourmaster runs a pump-out service to the moorings. Reservations through Dockwa.
History
Bristol holds the oldest continuous Independence Day celebration in the United States, with a Fourth of July parade running since 1785. The town was home to the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company, builder of several America's Cup defenders.
