Approach and anchoring
The club sits on a basin on the north bank of the Manatee River, west of the De Soto Bridge, on Snead Island.
Practical
The 6-acre site has a marina with 41 berths, a swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and boat storage. A restaurant is on site.
History
Bradenton Yacht Club was chartered on 11 May 1946 with 18 founding members and first met at the Memorial Pier building in Bradenton. It is one of the 13 founding clubs of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs. The yacht basin was completed in 1976 and the site was later annexed into the City of Palmetto.
