Guide
Approach and anchoring
Follow the marked channel and, after the last buoy, red nun 8, steer 300 degrees true to the anchorage, which carries about 14 ft at low water. The broad inner harbour mostly dries at low water, so moorings sit well off the village. Holding is on mud, sheltered from all directions. A smaller, quieter pool lies further in past can 7 and nun 2, off the golf course.
Practical
The harbour is crowded and a mooring is strongly advised. Every mooring needs an annual town permit. Kollegewidgwok Yacht Club in the outer harbour keeps guest moorings and provides fuel, water, ice and pump-out. Seal Ledge Marina is about 8 miles to the W.
