Sandy cove at the head of the Gulf of Sagone, between Cargèse to the north-west and Sagone to the east, west coast of Corsica.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Entry from the south, clear of dangers. Bright sand bottom with good holding. Sheltered from NW through E by the relief of the gulf. Open to the south when libeccio sets in and to SW swell working into the gulf.
Practical
Anchor in 4 to 8 metres on sand. No services ashore in the cove itself. Sagone harbour 1.8 miles east for provisioning and fuel, Cargèse 2.4 miles west.
Ashore
Sand beach at the head of the cove, reached by tender. Maquis slopes and the Liamone ridge rise behind. Footpath links the beach to the T30 coastal road.
