Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the SW with the Senino headland to port. Keep clear of the rocky heads along the northern shore. Exposed to the libeccio from the SW; shift to Sagone or Cargèse if the wind backs west.
Practical
No services. Drop anchor on sand in 5 to 10 m. Cargèse 1.7 nm W has a small harbour with water. Port de Sagone 2.5 nm E has diesel, water and berths.
Ashore
Cargèse village above its cliffs holds two churches facing each other, Greek Catholic and Roman Catholic, a legacy of the Greek colony from Mani settled here in 1676. Beach of Chiuni 4 km north by road.
