Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south between Cap de Carqueiranne and the Presqu'île de Giens. Drop on the sandy patches in 5 to 10 m, avoiding the posidonia meadow. The site falls within the Natura 2000 zone of the Côte d'Azur calanques and cliffs.
Practical
Shelter from NE, E and SE. Fully exposed to westerlies and to the mistral funnelling out of Toulon bay. Port des Oursinieres is 0.4 NM S, Port des Salettes 2.5 NM E if the wind shifts.
Ashore
Plage de la Garonne and Plage des Bonnettes reachable by tender. Sentier du littoral to Cap Garonne and its old copper mine, now a geology museum, about 30 min on foot. Village of Le Pradet with shops and market 1.5 km inland.
