Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach is straightforward from the south. Anchor in sand in 3 to 8 m clear of the swim zone lines. Shelter is given from NW through N and E. The cove is open to the south and to the mistral funnelling down from the NW above the cliffs, which can reach 40 knots in winter.
Practical
No services in the cove. Port de Sausset-les-Pins lies 1.3 nm to the E with 620 berths and a fuel berth. Port de Carro at 1.7 nm to the W offers visitor pontoons and a fishing harbour.
Ashore
The GR 51 coastal footpath runs along the cliffs above the cove, linking the Calanque des Eaux Salées to the Anse du Verdon. Sausset-les-Pins has shops, a Tuesday and Friday morning market and an SNCF train station on the Côte Bleue line from Marseille to Miramas.
