Approach and anchoring
Sand bottom with good holding. Shelter from N, NE and NW. Fully exposed to the south and southwest. Stay clear of the rocks off Pointe du Grand Gouin on approach from the west. Goulet de Brest and its tidal streams lie 2 nautical miles to the east.
Practical
No services on site. Tender ashore to the beach. Camaret port of call 1.6 nautical miles north with all supplies, water, diesel and VHF 9.
Ashore
GR 34 coastal path passes directly above the cove, links to Pointe de Pen-Hir and its alignments of Tas de Pois at 3 km west. Camaret sardine port, Vauban tower of 1696 and Notre-Dame de Rocamadour chapel at 1.5 km north.
History
The Parc naturel marin d'Iroise, created in 2007, was the first French marine nature park. It covers 3550 km2 between Ouessant, Sein and the Crozon peninsula.
