Approach and anchoring

Reached by the Ria d'Étel from the bar at the entrance, which must be crossed at the right tide with the pilot station's advice on VHF 13. Strong tidal streams inside the ria. Sand holding, sheltered from NE, E and SE. The approach dries in parts at low water, so follow the buoyed channel carefully.

Practical

Forain mooring with no shore services. Port Niscop lies 2.8 NM SW and Magouer at the bar of the Ria d'Étel is 3.7 NM SW, both with pontoons and basic facilities.

Ashore

Locoal-Mendon village centre is reached by tender up the side creek, with a bakery and small shops. The GR34 coastal path crosses the ria shores and links to the oyster beds around the Pointe du Verdon.
