Door County: the harbours of the Wisconsin peninsula

A 110 km peninsula between Lake Michigan and Green Bay, with a harbour every 10 miles on the bay side: Sturgeon Bay and its canal, Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim and Sister Bay, then Washington Island beyond Death's Door, named for the 19th century wrecks. Twenty degree water in August, limestone bluffs, cherry orchards and fish boils in the evening.
