Member yacht club marina at Sturgeon Bay, on the Door Peninsula where the ship canal links Lake Michigan to Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Sturgeon Bay sits on the dredged waterway between Lake Michigan and Green Bay, with no tidal range. The harbour holds deep water at the docks and is sheltered by the surrounding town shoreline. Visiting crews should call ahead through the club office.
Practical
Around 80 berths plus a seawall of about 300 feet for transient yachts. Visiting crews have use of the clubhouse and pub. No fuel berth on site, the nearest diesel and petrol is at one of the larger marinas along the bay.
Ashore
Sturgeon Bay town centre is within walking distance for shops, restaurants and provisioning. The Door County Maritime Museum sits on the waterfront nearby.
