Approach and anchoring
Detroit Harbor sits at the south end of Washington Island, reached across the Door passage from the peninsula. Approach depth is around 8 feet and dockside depth around 6 feet. The marina lies across the harbour from the Washington Island car ferry terminal.
Practical
35 berths in total, with 10 for transient use, taking vessels up to 80 feet. 30 and 50 amp shore power, petrol and diesel, pump-out and 24-hour showers and toilets. Boatyard with repair and haul-out. The Sailor's Pub is on site and a courtesy car is available for short use.
