Approach and anchoring
The harbour master is quick to help with mooring and can arrange a mechanic, and usually finds an inside berth with no swell. If no one is about, take a free finger pontoon marked Free or Vrij. Electricity and water are on the pontoons.
Practical
Berthing is cheap, around 25 to 35 euros a night off season. The clubhouse has clean sanitary facilities, a bar and its own restaurant, the Anchor, which serves good food at low prices, but there is no washing machine. Wifi is good. Fuel cans can be filled at the garage just across the road.
Ashore
The setting is an industrial working harbour, noisy at times, with support vessels for the wind farm and sand blowing off the dunes onto boats. The town centre is a tram ride or a 20 minute walk away.
