Approach and anchoring

Approach from the Gulf of Saint-Tropez along the northern coast. Entrance marked by port and starboard lights on the breakwater heads. Maximum draught 3 metres, with the deepest berths on pontoon H. The visitor berths near the entrance can roll when swell or a north-easterly works into the outer harbour, and berthing is then less easy. Call the harbour office on VHF 9 for a visitor berth. Watch for the mistral which funnels down the gulf from the north-west.

Practical

409 berths on pontoons. Diesel at the fuel berth. Water and electricity at each berth, sanitary blocks with showers, but no Wi-Fi. A large Spar sits just outside the port entrance, with the La Tropézienne bakery and restaurants nearby. The port runs on a small team, so the radio is not always answered and boats may need to come alongside. Bikes are lent for the walk between the visitor dock and the office.

Ashore

Sentier du littoral runs east from the port towards the rock formations of the Roches Taillées, with Roman fish-farm tanks cut into the rock at San Peïre. Beach of La Gaillarde sits 500 metres south of the port. Sainte-Maxime reachable in 10 minutes by car, with water-taxi crossings to Saint-Tropez across the gulf.
