Approach and anchoring

Approach between the Île Dé and the Île aux Lapins. Numerous drying rocks, use SHOM chart 7125. Sand holding, with moorings laid in summer and about five large white visitor buoys in deep water, well marked but close together, few of them suiting boats over 10 m. The anchorage rolls heavily near high water, even in calm weather, when a NW swell works in, and is more comfortable at low water. Exposed from NW to N, shelter sought at Ploumanac'h 1.3 nm east when the wind shifts.

Practical

Water tap on the quay. No fuel or electricity. A visitor buoy costs about 12 euros in season whatever the boat size, and out of season no one always comes to collect. Showers and toilets at the beach. Shops, bakery and supermarket within 400 m in Trégastel bourg.

Ashore

Sentier des douaniers GR34 skirts the granite blocks to Ploumanac'h lighthouse at 1.6 km east. Aquarium marin de Trégastel installed inside the granite chaos. Ploumanac'h voted favourite village of the French in 2015 on France 2.
