Wide sand bay on the Balagne coast of Corsica, 3.6 NM east of Île Rousse, at the mouth of the Reginu river.

Approach and anchoring
Sand bottom over most of the bay. A marked jet-ski channel runs through the middle of the bay and a zone at its western end is closed to anchoring, so keep clear of both. Shelter from E through S to SW, fully open to the north and NW. In a mistral or tramontane swell, head for Île Rousse 3.6 NM to the west. Approach is otherwise clear, no off-lying dangers.
Ashore
Sand beach about 1.5 km long, backed by the Lozari pine grove, with a pizzeria open on the beach in season. Village of Belgodère and its AOC Calvi vineyards inland. Île Rousse and its covered market reachable along the coastal road or by the tram de Balagne, which runs from Calvi to Île Rousse along the shore.
History
Île Rousse, the main town of Balagne, was founded in 1758 by Pascal Paoli to give the independent Corsican republic a port free from Genoese control.
