Guide
Approach and anchoring
Open approach from the north. The cove is small with shoals off the entrance, so post a bow lookout and enter slowly. Coming in, rocks lie to starboard, so favour the port hand. Drop on a clear sand patch well into the cove and check the set, as swinging room is tight for a boat of 10 metres or more. Protected from north-east through south-east, exposed to north-west and west.
Practical
L'Île-Rousse 5.8 nm west for fuel and supplies, Saint-Florent 10.6 nm east through the gulf.
Ashore
Strand backed by maquis inside the Conservatoire du Littoral land of the Agriates. Reached overland only by a walk of about an hour and a half, so it stays largely deserted. The sentier des douaniers runs along the coast toward plage de Saleccia and plage du Loto.
