Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west, no dangers in the approach beyond the 5-metre line, though rocks are marked in the middle of the bay. Anchor in 3 to 10 metres on sand, holding good; the south end is deeper and calmer, the north end busier by the beach restaurant. Shelter from N, NE and E. Fully open to W, SW and S, leave immediately on forecast Libeccio. Tizzano 3.9 NM NW for shelter.
Practical
A beach restaurant run by the Murtoli estate operates at the north end of the bay, expensive; otherwise no services. Tizzano lies 3.9 NM NW for water.
Ashore
Plage d'Erbaju stretches about 2 km, dunes and maquis behind, part of the Conservatoire du littoral protected area. Archaeological site of Cauria with three megalithic alignments and the Fontanaccia dolmen about 3 km inland on foot from the beach, dated around 2000 BC. The Genoese tower and the Roccapina lion rock overlook the bay, reached by a short steep walk, and a small river behind the beach can be paddled up.
