Approach and anchoring

Approach from the gulf on a clear line. Yellow buoys along the 300 metre line take up much of the sand, so drop outside them in about 6 to 8 metres, keeping off the posidonia that starts in the deeper water. Holding on the sand is good but can be slippery, and boats have dragged in a fresh westerly. Shelter from E through SW; fully open to the western half of the compass and rolly when a west swell runs. Shift to Porto Pollo 6.4 NM south or Port Tino Rossi 6.5 NM north if the wind backs.

Ashore

Bars, a restaurant and a pizzeria line the sand beach. A beach club with a water-sports area sits at one end and plays loud music late into the night, sometimes until 2am, so anchor towards the far end for a quieter night. The closest villages are Porto Pollo to the south and Propriano farther into the gulf.
