Approach and anchoring

Rocky bottom, holding variable, so anchor on the sand patches between the rocks; the water is often murky and hides them, though holding is good once the sand is found. Private moorings and motorboats fill much of the bay and leave only a few spots on the outer western edge. The anchorage sits on the wake lane in and out of Porto-Vecchio and takes heavy boat wash by day, with a light north-westerly breeze at night. Protected from S, SW and W, open to the N, NE and E. Approach from the east in daylight, the rocky shore carrying isolated heads close to the coast.

Practical

No services on the anchorage. Marina di Fiori at 1.7 NM west for berths and basic services. Quilichi at 1.9 NM west as a further option.

Ashore

Plage de Santa Giulia accessible by tender, a 2 km arc of white sand within the Natura 2000 site of the Pointe de Capicciola. Coastal path south toward the Pointe de San Ciprianu.
