Anchorage next to the Cala del Forte harbour at Ventimiglia, on the Ligurian coast. Sand bottom, sheltered from north-west through east but open to the south.

Approach and anchoring
Anchor on sand in 5 m. Shallow rocky banks run parallel to the shore, so stay at least 150 m off. Overnight the anchorage is exposed to S and SW winds. A 0.3 m swell gave a slight roll in July 2024. Boats passing offshore can also cause some roll.
Practical
In 2024 the neighbouring harbour accepted dinghies and rubbish from boats at anchor. Fuel is available in the port of Ventimiglia. In 2024 the Coast Guard at Cala del Forte handled clearance out of Italy.
Ashore
A small beach nearby has a snack bar. In 2020 a small restaurant, Les Sables d'Or, stood on the beach facing the anchorage.
