Approach and anchoring

Approach along the Ligurian coast near the French border. Call on VHF 73 for a berth. Marina boatmen assist berthing and take lines. In July 2026 the lazy lines left mud smears on topsides and fender covers that took two washes to remove.

Practical

Fuel berth on site. Maximum draught 6 metres, suiting large yachts. Private shower and toilet cubicles. Cafés, bars and restaurants line the quayside, but there was no grocery shop in 2025. Pontoons next to the bars were noisy in 2023. In August 2025 a bar with a DJ played loud music until 2 or 2.30 am, around three nights a week. The Wi-Fi code did not work in July 2026.

Ashore

Ventimiglia town is a 15 to 20 minute walk through a tunnel, with a fresh produce market and rail links to France and Italy. A lift halfway along the tunnel climbs to the old town, which looks over the marina. A beach lies close to the marina. A catamaran shuttle runs to Monaco.
